The future of Lexus vehicles is electric, and the upcoming 2026 Lexus ES shows what to expect from it. As the first model redesigned as a multi-platform vehicle, the 2026 ES will be available as a hybrid and battery electric vehicle (BEV). While not available on our lot yet - the 2026 Lexus ES is slated to hit markets next year - it will be available in three options: ES 350h, ES 350e, and ES 500e. We're happy to provide updates as we have them and help you see what could make this the new Lexus worth waiting for.
Interior Features & Design
A reimagined platform extends the body by 6.5 inches and the wheelbase by 3.0 inches, providing a more spacious interior. A raised seating position makes entering and exiting the vehicle easier while expanding the field of view. Openness is a key concept of the cabin, having lower window edges and slim detailing. The driver information display is uniquely shaped to enable smooth eye movements and contribute to the cabin's openness.
Comfort and luxury go hand-in-hand for the 2026 Lexus ES. Its release marks the first time the Executive Package is available for the nameplate in North America. Available for the 2026 Lexus ES 350e, this package adds reclining rear seats with an ottoman for the passenger side, massaging rear outboard seats, and heated/ventilated rear seats. Exterior Features & Design
The design of the 2026 ES focuses on minimalism and elegance without losing its bold presence. This design follows the "Clean Tech x Elegance" Lexus design philosophy. The trunkless profile and sharply angled rear cabin create a seamless profile that draws the attention of everyone you pass.
You might notice redesigned headlights on the 2026 Lexus ES. The new Twin L-Signature Lamps have inward-facing daytime running lamps and outward-facing turn signals to create a unique front fascia. The rear has a light strip and illuminated Lexus logo as part of its Rear L-Signature Lamp design.
Performance & Eco Options
The 2026 Lexus ES will have multiple powertrain options. The first system is the 2026 ES 350h: a hybrid setup with a 2.5-liter engine and electric motor. The platform is designed to suppress vibrations for a smooth ride and refined cabin, making it ideal for errands, commutes, and road trips.
Two new powertrain options accompany the modern aesthetic. The 2026 Lexus ES 350e and 500e are BEVs with large-capacity batteries. The 2026 ES 350e has front-wheel drive, and the 2026 ES 500e has DIRECT4 all-wheel drive. Lexus estimates the 2026 ES 350e to have a 300-mile range when equipped with 19-inch wheels.
Technology & Safety
The new Lexus lineup will have an incredible assortment of innovative options, including an updated infotainment system. The 2026 Lexus ES will have a 14-inch infotainment display with wireless smartphone and dual Bluetooth® phone connectivity. You'll have access to your favorite songs and apps during every drive. Split-screen capabilities will make it easier to see relevant information and adjust settings to suit your needs.
As the first implementation of the Lexus Safety System+ 4.0 (LSS+ 4.0) features, you can expect the 2026 Lexus ES to look out for you.
